Dubai Basketball Falls Against Bahçeşehir Koleji in Game 3 of Pre-Season Friendlies

Dubai Basketball continued its pre-season preparations with a closely fought 83-78 defeat to Bahçeşehir Koleji in Game 3 of the Gloria Cup friendlies in Antalya.

The game was closely contested from the opening tip, with Bahçeşehir Koleji taking an 18-11 lead after the first quarter. Dubai Basketball responded strongly in the second period, outscoring their opponents 16-10 to reduce the deficit to just one point at half-time, with the score 41-40.

Dubai continued to apply pressure after the break, with the two sides level at 62-62 heading into the final quarter. Bahçeşehir Koleji ultimately edged the final period 21-16 to secure an 83-78 victory.

Elie Okobo led Dubai Basketball's scoring with 17 points, while Justin Anderson, Jaron Blossomgame and Filip Petrušev each added 11 points. Mfiondu Kabengele also made an important contribution with 10 points, as Dubai's squad continued to gain valuable minutes together during pre-season.

The fixture marked another important step for head coach Xavi Pascual, who is overseeing his first pre-season campaign with Dubai Basketball as he prepares the team for a demanding 2026/27 season across the EuroLeague and ABA League.

With two games now completed against Turkish opposition and one victory already secured against Beşiktaş Gain, the Gloria Cup is providing Dubai Basketball with a strong test against high-level competition and an opportunity to fine-tune preparations ahead of the new campaign.
