Dubai Basketball extended its undefeated streak in the AdmiralBet ABA League with a 77–69 victory over SC Derby in Round 6, maintaining its position at the top of Group A. Though the final score suggests a comfortable win, the Montenegrin side pushed hard and kept the game close until the final minutes.

Coach Jurica Golemac’s team faced this test just days before an intense EuroLeague double week, using the opportunity to rotate players and manage minutes across the roster. That strategy kept the contest balanced for much of the night, but Dubai’s superior depth and individual talent ultimately proved decisive.

The game also marked the long-awaited debut of Serbian guard Aleksa Avramović, who returned to action after recovering from injury. His presence brought renewed energy and optimism ahead of Dubai’s upcoming EuroLeague matchup against Crvena zvezda. Although still regaining his rhythm, Avramović’s influence on both ends of the floor was a welcome sight for Golemac and his staff.

SC Derby showed resilience and composure, answering every Dubai surge through Aleksa Ilić and strong interior play. However, once Boogie Ellis and Dwayne Bacon joined the scoring rhythm late in the fourth quarter, Dubai finally built a double-digit lead and calmly secured the victory.

With this result, Dubai remains undefeated in the ABA League and continues to set the standard in Group A. Still, Golemac’s squad is aware that greater consistency will be needed as attention now turns to a demanding EuroLeague clash with Crvena zvezda next week.
