Dubai Basketball’s U18 team will take part in the 2026–27 adidas NextGen EuroLeague, competing in the Paris Qualifying Tournament from 26 to 28 February 2027.

Led by Head Coach Irhad Tinjak, the Dubai Basketball U18 Elite team made its mark last season through strong performances in international competition, including the Avance Global 2026 Tournament and a winning campaign at the Basket Cup Sarajevo 2026.

The team already has experience on the NextGen EuroLeague stage, having competed in the Abu Dhabi Qualifying Tournament earlier this year. With another season of international competition ahead, the U18 side will look to build on its strong performances and continue representing Dubai and the UAE among the world’s best.

Hosted by Paris Basketball, the tournament will give our young players the opportunity to test themselves against some of Europe’s leading youth programs. Dubai Basketball joins a field featuring Paris Basketball, Armani Olimpia Milan, FC Barcelona, Kids&Us Manresa, Olympiacos Piraeus, NextGen Team Paris and the winner of the Vienna Pre-Qualifying Tournament.

This participation marks an important step for Dubai Basketball’s academy, bringing our U18 team into an international stage and giving our players valuable experience as they continue their development. It also reflects the club’s commitment to building a pathway for young talent, alongside the growth of the first team.

The competition brings together 40 U18 programs from 15 countries. The winner of each of the four Qualifying Tournaments will advance to the 2027 adidas NextGen EuroLeague Finals, with four wild cards completing the eight-team field.

For our U18 players, Paris will be an opportunity to compete, learn and represent Dubai Basketball against the next generation of basketball talent.
